NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL CANADA (NRC) - BOUCHERVILLE
The NRC Boucherville facility offers R&D activities dedicated to the aerospace sector:
• Development of non-destructive inspection technologies for inspection, material characterization, defect detection and evaluation of the composition and microstructure of materials used in aircraft.
• Development of lightweight, high-performance composites and biocomposites; composite structures and components using thermoplastic and thermoset matrices; and development of forming processes including-stamping, RTM/HP-RTM, infusion, autoclave, compression and injection, as well as performing composite materials characterization.
• Development of high-performance coatings including thermal and environmental barriers for turbine engines; abradable coatings; and protection against wear and corrosion of landing gear, fuselage and wings.
